alcohol - 憂鬱症

Turns out that I can't survive a large social gathering with a sole purpose of
mingling with people without alcohol.

Taiwanese new year gathering is loud and noisy, and Taiwanese young people rar
ely drink so they don't provide alcoholic beverages!

I get why Americans need drinks at every party now. It numbs you to the fright
ening large crowd and provides a fake sense of comfort and happiness.
