肝臟裡面雖然沒有神經分佈，不過肝臟表面的膜和週邊血管或是膽囊是有的，
因此肝臟部位疼痛或不適，也是有可是肝臟的問題引起，
例如脂肪肝把膜撐大的時後會有感覺...等等。
